Bring Your Children’s Stories to Life with Generative AI ✨

Writing and illustrating a children’s story can feel intimidating. What if AI could become your ally, helping you turn a simple idea into a beautiful illustrated book?

That’s exactly what we explored in our Encre Virtuelle workshop. Together, we brought to life “Emma’s Magical Journey,” a story full of poetry and wonder.

1. From idea to world

It all began with a simple image:Emma follows a butterfly into an enchanted forest and meets fantastic companions who help her grow.

From this starting point, AI helped us enrich the characters and settings to build a complete universe.

2. Illustrating the magic

We defined a clear artistic style to guide the AI:

• Bright watercolor

• Pastel and golden tones

• Fairy-tale atmosphere inspired by Studio Ghibli

The result: images that look as if they came straight out of a modern storybook.

3. Writing with AI, not instead of it

Rather than drafting the entire story, AI acted as a creative partner: it suggested dialogues, poetic descriptions, and new ideas to move forward—without ever replacing the participants’ imagination.

The result

A unique illustrated book combining captivating text and enchanting illustrations, created in just a few hours.
